Anchored by veteran jazzman Morris Edwards on bass (has played with Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Coleman Hawkins, Illinois Jacquet, Maynard Ferguson), the Green Market Trio plays and sings jazz, swing and bebop tunes.
Getting its start in 1998 at the 97th Street Farmer's Market, saxophonist Dimitri Moderbacher and guitarist Ethan Mann delight in audiences' enthusiasm, particularly at seeing them enjoy the deep swing and melodic improvisations generated by the trio.
The Green Market Trio performs throughout New York City and has recorded two CDs.
